FAQ’s

If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers!

Do you remove viruses?
A virus can hit your computer unexpectedly, and at the most inopportune time. One wrong click could cripple your entire system or network. In many cases, I can be on your site within a day, and have everything working in just a few hours.Yes I remove all types of viruses and malware; I am also a Symantec antivirus partner and have their Endpoint antivirus available to all clients. I have a minimum of 16+ years experience with computer repair services.

What can I do to protect my computer from viruses and malware?
A good combination of an anti-virus scanner and malware scanner is a good start. The truth is there are no fail safe ways to prevent your computer from becoming infected. Software can be helpful but only delays the inevitable. If you spend a good amount of time on the internet, the chances are very high that you will eventually become infected.

Who will I speak to when I contact your company?
You will always speak to the owner and lead technician, Vincent Puccia. I prefer to have direct contact with my clients to build trust and understand their needs. Understanding of clients’ problems at their level and not making them feel unknowledgeable is a priority.

Do you offer a free estimate?
Yes. If I am on-site, I can diagnosis about 90% of problems and provide an estimate for the repair within the first few minutes of evaluating your computer. In cases where a diagnosis cannot be determined immediately, I may take the unit in for further testing.
If you are seeking an estimate over the phone, I am able to do so most of the time, but, there are situations where a thorough diagnostic analysis would be required in order to provide an accurate quote. Please have the make and model of the computer available when calling.

How long will it take to get my computer repaired?
Most software repairs are generally completed in 1-2 business days. Hardware repairs such as screen replacements, motherboard repairs generally take 5-10 business days. Repair work is mainly done during the weekdays; weekends are mostly for pick up and drop off. If you drop off your computer on Friday evening at 6:00 PM it may not get looked at until Monday morning unless special arrangements have been made.

Do you offer rush service?
Yes. Rush service is available for an added cost and may be completed by the next day depending on the parts needed for the repair.

Do you offer pickup / delivery?
Yes. I offer pick up and deliver of related items within the service area.

What form of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, debit cards with the Visa/MasterCard logo (service charges apply). I except and prefer cash, business checks and personal checks. All checks will require advanced approval.

Is the repair work done at my business or home?
Yes. Most work is done on site unless repairs require the item to go to my shop. In that case, I will return the computer when repaired. I do not outsource any repair work.

I will hold your item for thirty (30) days from the day it was dropped off for repair.
You must pick up your item within this 30-day period or it will be considered abandoned and it will be disposed of.

If my computer cannot be fixed do I get my deposit back?
Yes. If you paid a deposit and the repair could not be completed you can get 100% of your deposit refunded. This does not include charges for time spent diagnosing the problem.

Will I lose my data when my computer is repaired?
In most cases you will not lose your data. The hard drive is a separate component from the rest of the computer and unless it has been damaged your data is probably fine. Feel free to ask me if there is any risk of data loss for your type of repair.

Is there any warranty on the repair work?
Yes. There is a 90 day warranty on all hardware repairs. All software and virus repair warranties will not be valid if caused by the client.
